The Restaurant Mogul's Gamble on Entertainment Ron Shaich, founder of Panera and chairman of Cava, has made a name for himself by identifying underappreciated categories and building companies that dominate them.
He is now applying the same playbook to entertainment, with Level99, an interactive challenge based venue company.
Shaich's investment vehicle, Act III Holdings, is contributing $50 million more, bringing its total stake in Level99 to $100 million.
