Cultural Engagement Linked to Younger Physiological Age

The Cultural Edge on Aging A recent study has found a compelling link between regular attendance at museums, theaters, and cinemas and a "younger" physiological age in older adults.

Researchers measured physiological age using indicators such as blood pressure, body mass index, and walking speed, which were combined into a single score.

The study involved over 1,900 English adults aged 50 and older who participated in the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing between 2004 and 2010.
