Documents tendered to the inquiry show that senior CFMEU officials discussed a national strategy against BMD from late 2023, involving billboards, social media operations, sporting sponsorship protests, targeted text messages, and plans to distribute flyers in neighbourhoods linked to company board members.
The campaign went beyond union disputes on major projects. It was a sustained effort to target the company's directors, their families, and even the communities where they lived.
