13 Dead After Small Tourist Plane Crashes in Peru The crash of a small tourist plane in southern Peru on August 1 has left 13 people dead, including passengers and crew members.
The incident occurred while the plane was taking tourists from Pisco airport to view the Nazca Lines, an ancient geoglyph site etched into the desert.
The plane, operated by Aerodiana, a local Peruvian company, crashed six kilometers from the city of Nazca and 12 kilometers from the Nazca Lines site.
